Honeywell has introduced two new versions of its 3800g linear barcode scanner, which it hopes will expand customers’ ability to read specialised barcodes, particularly in electronics and manufacturing.
The 3800gPDF is capable of swipe-reading the widely used two-dimensional PDF417 barcodes in addition to standard linear barcodes, while the 3800gHD is optimised for close range scanning of small high density barcodes.
The new models offer ergonomic and durable design with no moving parts, high-performance Adaptus® Imaging Technology 5.0 and a five year warranty.
Both scanners are also designed to read barcodes that may be damaged, dirty or poorly printed.
