Materials handling company SDI Group UK has appointed Mike Hilton as managing director.
He will be responsible for all aspects of the operation including maintenance, engineering, sales, installation and human resources and has also been tasked with driving growth in major automated warehouse projects, targeting new markets and building the warehouse maintenance business, among other things.
SDI Group UK is a specialist in materials handling systems for retail, wholesale, fulfilment and e-commerce distribution operations.
Hilton joins from CRH Group where he held a number of positions, most recently managing director of Caljan Rite-Hite UK. Prior to this he spent ten years at Dexion Group where his roles included managing director of Dexion Materials Handling and Dexion Germany, and sales and marketing director of Dexion Group.
Caljan Rite-Hite recently appointed Mark Baugh as UK managing director to replace Hilton.
