DHL has contracted conveyor manufacturer Sovex to maintain its conveying equipment in the UK.
Under the agreement, Sovex will carry out regular service checks, during which engineers will inspect, test and maintain conveying equipment, enabling them to identify and replace wearing parts, lubricate chains and mechanisms and reset or adjust components wherever necessary.
The company will also provide 24-hour call out support to around 130 DHL parcel depots and distribution hubs.
In order to meet growing demand Sovex is expanding its servicing department and employing additional engineers to take care of the anticipated additional workload when the contract begins in November.
