DSV has completed the acquisition of XB Luxembourg Holdings, the parent company of the ABX Logistics Group in a deal worth 750 million euros.
For 2007, ABX and DSV had combined annual sales of some 6.5 billion euros with approximately 25,000 employees, and operated own transport networks spanning more than 60 countries.
Kurt Larsen, chairman of the DSV supervisory board said: “It has been our wish for a long time to double our air and sea activities. We achieved this objective with the recent acquisition of ABX Logistics, through which we also gained presence in a large number of new and important countries, including Japan and South America. With ABX we have also obtained a unique position in the European areas where we have lacked volume so far.”
