Sants Pharmaceutical Distributors, part of The Co-operative Group, has pre-let a 190,000 sq ft warehouse in Stoke on Trent.
Sants has signed a 25-year lease with developer Henry Boot at a rent of £4.85 per sq ft on the final phase of Meir Park.
The building will boast an eaves height of 12m and there are 18 loading doors. In addition there is 10,000 sq ft of office space. Construction on the former Staffordshire Tableware site will commence in the next few weeks, with practical completion due by spring 2009.
The warehouse on Whittle Road will house the company’s new national distribution facility. It will replace a smaller existing warehouse at Wolstanton Retail Park.
Meir Park occupies an 18-acre site and has a strategic location fronting the A50 trunk road linking the M1 and M6 motorways in Staffordshire.
