CitySprint has bought PBS Deliveries, a Birmingham-based courier company, in a move to strengthen its presence in the West Midlands.
The company plans to retain PBS staff including its 25 self-employed couriers. It has also taken over PBS’s existing location in Nechells in the heart of Birmingham.
Ben Haynes, managing director, regions, said: “Birmingham is one of the UK’s top three cities in terms of courier activity and this acquisition is an example of our strategy to achieve increased market share in key commercial locations. PBS is a very strong, local, city-based business and by joining forces we have created Birmingham’s largest dedicated SameDay courier company.”
