RS Components has chosen Geodis Wilson to manage some of its air and sea freight routes. The contract will be based at Corby delivering to the electronic components supplier’s facilities around the globe.
RS Components is a catalogue based distributor of electronic components and industrial products, from semi-conductors to batteries, tools and measurement equipment from over 2,500 suppliers.
For many years, Geodis Wilson has supplied in-house expertise at RS Components site in Corby, operating from within the warehouse in a designated area and processing all freight ready for export shipment. The new contract extends these services to the consolidation of import products from Asia, which are to be handled by Geodis Wilson UK before final delivery to RS facilities at Corby and Nuneaton.
Mr Anne Bruggink, General manager, supply, logistics and facilities of Electrocomponents, said: “After such a long and fruitful relationship with Geodis we are happy to be underlining our commitment to the partnership through this contract.
