Ryder System has appointed Mark Van Andel to the newly created position of managing director, supply chain solutions Europe.
Van Andel will be responsible for the profitability, operating performance and strategic direction of Ryder’s SCS business and operations in the UK and Continental Europe.
David Bouchard, managing director – international, Ryder System, said: “This appointment strengthens Ryder’s supply chain solutions business in Europe and Mark will assist in further driving the integration of Europe with Ryder’s Supply Chain Solutions operations and capabilities in North America, Latin America and Asia.”
Van Andel joins Ryder from United Parcel Service where he was director of contract logistics for West District, Europe.
