Norbert Dentressangle Group has won an EthiFinance award for its commitment to environmental management at a ceremony in Paris on Tuesday.
The Centaur Environmental Management Star was presented by Jacques Bregeon, director of the College for Environmental and Sustainable Development Studies, and Emmanuel de la Ville, chief executive of EthiFinance, an independent non-financial ratings agency, which organise the new awards ceremony.
The annual “Etoiles EthiFinance” star awards were created to reward companies that stand out for their commitment to socially responsible investment.
The jury said Dentressangle turned in the strongest performance according to the four assessment criteria: quality of environmental policy, performance of the environmental management system, analysis of energy sources and consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.
François Bertreau, chairman of the group’s executive board, said: “I am very honoured to receive this prize, which rewards our commitment to sustainable development and environmental issues and the continuous efforts made in this respect by all Norbert Dentressangle Group’s employees in recent years. This award will encourage us to maintain our efforts towards respecting the environment with our logistical structures, whose performance is currently largely based on road transport.”
