Online telematics service provider Cybit has launched a fleet telematics suite, designed to help transport and logistics companies streamline day-to-day business processes while providing strategic management data and one-screen KPI reporting.
The software, called Fleetstar Logistics, interfaces with major back-office accounting, scheduling and fleet management systems to provide office-based staff with real-time vehicle, driver and load manifest information.
The software includes order and workflow management with the traditional operational benefits of live positioning information. Fleetstar Logistics is available with touch screen in-cab devices that provide navigation, workflow and delivery schedules. The truck pads also can be used as an alternative and safer method of communication than mobile phones.
Cybit’s John Wisdom said: “There are many areas that Fleetstar Logistics addresses to help fight costs, reduce emissions and comply with legislation. CanBus integration provides precise visibility of engine and driver performance which can help reduce fuel use, while Tachograph interfaces enable real-time driver information to be checked aiding compliance.”
