Nokia Siemens Networks is the overall winner in this year’s European Supply Chain Excellence Awards, organised by Supply Chain Standard in partnership with PRTM. NSN also took the award in the Telecoms, Hi Tech & Electronics section.
The awards were presented at a gala dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last night.
The Individual Contribution Award, sponsored by Michael Page Procurement and Supply Chain, went to Klaus-Michael Ku¨ehne of Kuehne + Nagel.
Klaus-Michael Kühne, 71, has built one of the world’s leading logistics groups out of the family firm that was founded in Bremen in 1890. Through the Kuehne Foundation, he also supports the development of young logistics managers, as well as research in the fields of logistics and medicine and charitable projects.
