Thierry’s Wine Services, the wine importers has chosen Wincanton to handle its warehousing and distribution for the UK and Ireland.
The operation will be based at Wincanton’s shared-user, bonded warehouse at Greenford. Product will be distributed via Wincanton’s shared-user transport network to merchants and retailers.
Wincanton expects to handle more than 250,000 cases a year. It is charged with managing the seasonal peaks that Thierry’s business experiences, as well as implementing cost saving solutions across the contract, such as duty stamping on all goods.
Hatim Dungarwalla, finance director at Thierry’s, said: “We look forward to working together to improve distribution efficiencies. We have significant plans for expansion and we feel that Wincanton is well-placed to support this growth.”
