John Good Shipping has taken Units 3, 4 and 5 in Block D at Orwell Terminal on Walton Avenue, Felixstowe.
The three adjoining warehouse units total 38,295 sq ft and are in addition to the units C, D1 and D2 of 168,500 sq ft that the company already occupies.
A deal has been secured on a 15-year lease at a rent of £4.25 per sq ft from landlord RREEF advised by Atisreal. The distribution site is located adjacent to the Port of Felixstowe, the largest deep sea container port in the UK and the principal port of entry for imports from China and the Far East.
Steve Williams, director in Atisreal’s national industrial team, said: “This letting of just over 200,000 sq ft is confirmation of the increasing and continuing importance of the Felixstowe port. There is a dearth of good quality second-hand property in the area. John Good was keen to secure this space on a long-term basis.”
Joint agents King Sturge and Lambert Smith Hampton have let 55,000 sq ft of warehouse and distribution space in the Aurora building at Nursling near Southampton on behalf of the landlord Universal Consolidated Group.
