Wilson Bowden Developments and the Northwest Development Agency, in partnership with the Rochdale Development Agency and Rochdale Council, have submitted a planning application for 600,000 sq ft of industrial space at the 420-acre Kingsway business park.
The Kingsway Partnership has submitted planning for the latest phase of the park and the new unit will include 250,000 sq ft of mezzanine space for storage and assembly purposes.
Kingsway, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is one of the largest developments of its kind in the UK, totalling more than 3 million sq ft of industrial space, almost 300,000 sq ft of office space and almost 200,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, as well as 300 residential units.
Robert Grafton, development director at Wilson Bowden Developments, said: “Even in this difficult market, Kingsway is attracting a high level of interest and enquiries.”
