Beauty retailer Sephora has gone live with RedPrairie’s Warehouse Management System at its distribution centre in Utah.
The system has been installed to support the cosmetics company’s multi-channel business, directing shipments to retail outlets, in addition to online customers from next year.
RedPrairie also supports Sephora’s Maryland distribution centre. Together the two sites will service 100 per cent of Sephora’s North American output, directing more than 160,000 order lines to 115 stores daily.
Janet Hanson, Sephora’s CIO, said: “When Sephora first selected RedPrairie, we were looking for a supply chain partner who could support both retail and direct-to-consumer operations in a single facility.”
“The two shipping processes are very different, so the application had to be very adaptable, and flexible. RedPrairie had the retail expertise we were looking for, with a product we could deploy on our own technology platform.”
Sephora has 515 stores in 14 countries worldwide.
