Honeywell has released the latest version of its Dolphin 7850 mobile computer, which now has three long-range laser scanning options for hard to reach or barcodes.
The PDA-style device is compact and lightweight, with water, dust and shock resistant casing, power management, an upward angled screen designed for easy viewing and an integrated pistol grip for comfort.
The three new scanning options: high performance, long range and advanced long range, can be used from five to 30 feet, and are suitable for use in warehouse and distribution environments where barcodes are positioned on shelves, pallets and loading docks.
The mobile computer runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0, features integrated WiFi communication and provides real-time access to information between the enterprise and the mobile worker.
The 7850 incorporates ShiftPLUS power management technology and can perform for ten hours on a single charge, allowing coverage over a standard or prolonged work shift.
