Greggs the baker has signed a five-year contract with Norbert Dentressangle to provide bespoke rigid and drawbar combination trunking between its Nation Savouries Centre in Newcastle Upon Tyne to its southern distribution centres.
Greggs specialises in sandwiches, savouries and other baked goods and has more than 1,400 shops throughout the UK, serving some five million customers a week.
Richard Penna, group logistics manager at Greggs, said: They [Norbert Dentressangle] demonstrated to us they could handle the distribution of our products nationwide cost effectively.”
