Royal Mail is rumoured to have signed up for South 62, a 179,000 sq ft warehouse at Winwick Quay, Warrington. The refurbished warehouse facility is located on Mill Lane, with the site being within one mile of Junction 9 of the M62, accessed from the A49 Winwick Road via Cromwell Avenue (A574) and Calver Road.
It provides two well-maintained and interconnected warehouse units of steel frame construction with ancillary office accommodation on an 11.1-acre site.
It is believed Royal Mail secured the facility on a ten-year lease at a price close to the asking rent of £3.75 per sq ft.
WHR advised Royal Mail while DTZ and Cushman & Wakefield acted for the landlord F&C REIT. The property had previously been let to Interlink Foods in 2006.
