Wincanton has taken the 53,434 sq ft Apollo building at Centralpoint, The Elite Logistics Park, located at Eurocentral near Glasgow in Scotland. The property was taken on a 15-year lease at a rent of £5.50 per sq ft.
The company will carry out an extensive fit-out of the new facility to set new standards for managing information within Scotland, which will be used primarily to store a variety of documents and media, including reconnaissance photographs from the Second World War, for its client The National Archives.
Jon Fowler of Wincanton Records Management said: “We are to launch records management, off-site data protection, secure transport and scanning for the Scottish region, creating great value and services for all Scottish businesses.”
Wincanton also currently occupies two further industrial buildings at Eurocentral totalling 188,000 sq ft.
