Wincanton has chosen Isotrak’s Active Transport Management System (ATMS) for its Britvic Soft Drinks bulk logistics contract.
The modular system, which is based on satellite tracking, vehicle telematics and powerful server applications, has been designed to boost fuel savings, driver management, and improve productivity.
It can also provide visibility of inbound deliveries to supermarkets’ distribution centres – Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Tesco already use the system to run their own store distribution fleet operations.
Isotrak’s Retail Integration capability will help suppliers to link seamlessly with supermarkets’ own automated continuous stock replenishment systems.
The system package includes: vehicle tracking, resource management based on tracking data and linked with Wincanton’s existing scheduling system, and CANbus integration to improve driving style management.
It has been rolled out across 45 new Mercedes Actros Wincanton vehicles operating out of Britvic’s Magna Park NDC, with scope to install more as required.
