Deutsche Post World Net chief financial officer John Allan is set to retire from the board of management in June 2009.
Allan played a vital role in the sale of a stake in Deutsche Postbank AG, as well as in the exit from the company’s unprofitable DHL US Express domestic business.
He will continue to fully perform his tasks on the management board of Deutsche Post World Net until the end of June and serve as a senior advisor to chief executive officer Frank Appel afterwards.
The supervisory board will name a successor in due course.
