Nestlé has signed a framework agreement with pallet pooling operator LPR.
Under the agreement, LPR has been given approved supplier status for all Nestlé business divisions in Europe and recently secured supply contracts with the three main operating divisions of Nestlé in the UK.
LPR already has long-standing supply contracts with Nestlé’s Waters division in France and the Benelux in which it delivers several million red pallets each year to Nestlé Waters for the distribution of well-known brands such as Vittel, Contrex, Perrier and Valvert.
Martin Weder, European Logistic Manager at Nestlé, said: “LPR has established itself as a major player within the wider European market in recent years and has proven to be a responsive and flexible supply chain partner.
“The European framework agreement allows each Nestlé division to ask for tenders from alternative pallet pool suppliers according to its own specific business criteria.”
