Sweet Port, the supplier of chilled Italian desserts, has renewed its contract with Culina Logistics for a further two years.
The operation is based at Culina’s Milton Keynes facility and includes storage, order processing and picking, as well as temperature-controlled distribution.
Consolidated loads are delivered across the UK and Northern Ireland to more than 50 retailers, including Sainsbury’s, Asda, Waitrose and Somerfield, using Culina’s shared-user platform.
Around 1,700 deliveries are made every week to regional distribution centres using the using the company’s 24-hour service.
Lyndon Stacey, UK sales manager for Sweet Port, said: “Since we began outsourcing our logistics requirements to Culina in 2002, the company has consistently provided a highly effective temperature-controlled supply chain service.
“Culina also provides value added services, including co-packing and product customisation that ensures we can supply product configured as required for promotional activity with retailers.”
Sweet Port produces products such as tiramisu, panna cotta and dolce limone in various sizes and formats for supermarkets both in Britain and across the rest of Europe.
