The British International Freight Association has named Kuehne + Nagel’s Steve de Croos as Young Freight Forwarder 2008 at its annual awards ceremony.
De Croos began at K+N in 2004 as a temporary warehouse worker, but after joining the company’s Graduate Apprenticeship Scheme he gained experience of different operational functions in contract logistics, European overland, airfreight imports, aviation exports and seafreight exports.
He also completed the Chartered Institute of Logistics’ Introduction Certificate and Professional Diploma and is now regional project manager for road and rail logistics.
De Croos said: “Without the qualifications offered to me by Kuehne + Nagel, I feel I would not have a total understanding of how the total supply chain works and reacts.”
