Newspaper and magazine wholesaler Smiths News has invested £1m in a new distribution centre in South Wales.
The depot, at the former LG Electronics plant at Imperial Park in Newport, will also house the company’s Cardiff and Bridgend businesses by the end of February.
Graeme Underhill, operations director at Smiths News, said: “Improving service for our retailers is a key priority for us. The new facility has been designed with service efficiency, health and safety and process improvement at the heart of our plans.
“This investment further demonstrates our commitment to the area and provides a fantastic place to work for our staff.”
