SafteyKleen has taken delivery of 53 Euro 5 Iveco Eurocargos – one of the biggest orders for the new medium truck range to date.
The Eurocargo 75E16S rigids, which feature automated EuroTronic transmission as standard, are being taken on a five-year contract.
Each truck is to be mounted with 14ft box bodies and tail-lifts and will be joined by a delivery of 25 Daily 35S12 chassis cabs with box bodies and tail-lifts, and two Stralis’.
Lee Hosier, operations director at Isleworth-based Safetykleen, said: “The introduction of the two-pedal EuroTronic gearbox in the new Eurocargo is ideally suited to our business and the reaction from drivers has been very positive.
“Switching from a manual to an automated gearbox will help to offer enhanced driver comfort and safety – particularly as our vehicles are increasingly operating in urban areas where routine traffic congestion means stop/start driving is commonplace,” he adds.
The Euro 5 SCRs feature 3.9 litre tector engines.
