Customs software supplier Impatex has unveiled a pan-European system for multi-national freight agents and traders.
Integrated Customs for Europe (ICE) will take over from the company’s Customs Manager programme, currently used by 15 companies handling more than 50 per cent of all UK airfeight clearances, and will be introduced in phases over the next 18 months.
Like Customs Manager, ICE will be multi-modal. It has been designed to simplify future development and accommodate larger operations, and the limit on the number of users has been removed. As it is a single-integrated programme users will no longer have to switch from one module to another.
ICE can also operate in different countries using the local language and over the internet, which means home working, mobile working, disaster recovery and customer access are all now possible.
