Mobis Parts Europe UK (MPEUK), the parts and logistics arm of the Hyundai Group, has signed a five-year contract with Unipart.
Unipart will supply parts warehousing and distribution to all Hyundai and Kia dealers in the UK and Ireland from MPEUK’s purpose built 20,500 sq m distribution centre in Birch Coppice Business Park near Tamworth, resulting in the relocation of 50 jobs by mid-2009.
The agreement involves the handling of all inbound logistics, storage management, outbound logistics distribution management and reverse logistics.
The operation has already started at all Hyundai dealers and is due to go live at Kia dealers in May 2009.
