Frozen food supplier Hopwells has taken delivery of a dozen 12-tonne Isuzu trucks. The Euro 4 “Forward” F120.240 rigids are to join the company’s 100-strong all-refrigerated distribution fleet at its head office.
The trucks feature RVL refrigerated bodies and Hubbard 720L refrigeration systems, and will deliver Hopwells’ full range of frozen foods based out of its seven depots in the UK.
The 12-tonners are fitted with Isuzu turbocharged and intercooled six-cylinder diesel engines, and feature EGR and 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
On average the trucks will perform 25 to 30 drop per day, and are expected to cover in excess of 60,000km (37.282m) per year.
All Isuzu Forward trucks come with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty that includes three years free roadside assistance and recovery.
David Williams, fleet manager at Hopwells, said: “Our distribution schedules are based on time-sensitive deliveries and with Isuzu, reliability is key. We can rely on day-in and day-out, as we get minimum downtime with the Isuzu fleet. Quite simply, we find them virtually indestructible.”
