Haulage company Arthur Oakley Transport has joined the Palletforce network.
The family-run, Hereford-based company delivers goods to major high street names in the UK and across Europe and is also involved in the export and freight forwarding of tin-mill products in India and Pakistan.
Director Roger Oakley, said: “This is an important part of our growth which will see an increased workload and workforce. It will enhance the services we can offer as we drive our business forward in 2009.
“Being a member of the Palletforce network will bring us great benefits, including reducing the distance travelled by our fleet and empty running. It is efficient, cost effective and environmentally responsible to work as a network.”
Arthur Oakley Transport operates from Rotherwas Industrial Estate and has one other depot, offering storage and distribution service. It has a fleet of ten articulated lorries plus a range if smaller vehicles for the Palletforce work.
Palletforce recently moved into its new £30 million distribution hub in Staffordshire.
