Cargolux Airlines International S.A. has appointed privately owned transport and logistics company, Cranleigh Freight Services, to handle its road feeder services inbound and outbound between the UK and Luxembourg.
Cargolux operates in more than 100 destinations for freight forwarders using a fleet of 16 B747-400 freighter aircraft and is the largest all-cargo airline in Europe.
CFS will service all UK airports, with Heathrow acting as the major UK hub.
As part of the contract CFS has bought 12 new DAF tractor units and mega roller-bed trailers from Van Eck, all of which meet the Euro 5 standard and fitted with Fleetboard, the telematics, tracking, communication and management reporting system.
