Max Alexander has joined Unipart Consumer Logistics as senior business development manager. His previous roles include UK sales and marketing director at Ceva UK and commercial director at EGL.
Nightfreight has appointed Ken Andrews to head its contract logistics business, which has customers including B&Q, Office Depot and Jungheinrich. He joins from Assa Abloy, the Swedish-listed manufacturer of security hardware and electronics, where he was UK supply chain logistics director of the UK business. Prior to that he was development director at PD Ports, developing a new portcentric “end-to-end” logistics proposition. Following the merger of Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North with Volvo Truck and Bus Centre Scotland, Martin Merrick has been appointed regional managing director of the new region. He is based at the head office of the newly merged region in the Glasgow West Dealership at Cardonald and reports directly to Goran Nyberg, Volvo Trucks’ UK managing director.
Ken Torok has become president of UPS’s global freight forwarding operations. He will direct the UPS global organisation responsible for strategy. performance and revenue growth for forwarding services. He will oversee commercial air and ocean carrier relationships as well as co-ordinate trade lane development.
Prologic has appointed former chairman of JBS Computer Services. Colin Wells, as non-executive chairman. It has also appointed Mark Quartermaine non-executive director.
