Linpac Allibert has launched Tytan, a lightweight heavy duty bulk container designed to help businesses achieve fuel, space and environmental efficiency savings.
Each Tytan box weighs 48kg and folds down to a height of 385mm, or 355mm when stacked. Containers are capable of carrying a load of up to 500kg and can be stacked five high for a combined loading of 2.5 tonnes. They also offer an increased internal capacity of 800 litres.
In a standard articulated vehicle 208 Tytan boxes can be packed, which Linpac Allibert says is 14 per cent more than any other similar sized bulk container, plus they create a weight saving of 16 per cent for the reverse logistics, helping to conserve fuel.
Tytan containers are made from polypropylene and are fully recyclable.
They can also be adapted to a range of manufacturing and supply chain environments as each pair of side walls is interchangeable and the door latches are accessible on the inside.
