WRAP is currently discussing the future scope of a successor agreement to the Courtauld Commitment. The voluntary agreement, which was signed by major grocery retailers and brands across the UK in 2008, aims to reduce the amount of household waste by 155,000 tonnes by 2010. Talks are now taking place to extend the agreement to include all packaging throughout the supply chain. It is expected to begin when the initial agreement comes to an end and run until 2015.
