Steve Knights has joined Knapp UK as business development manager for integrated projects based the Long Crendon in Buckinghamshire.
Knights has spent most of his working life in the automated handling sector most recently as business manager for Dematic. He is currently president of the Automated Materials Handling Systems Association.
Craig Rollason, head of sales and marketing for Knapp UK, said: “Bringing Steve on board is a tremendous coup for us. His knowledge and experience – particularly in the pharmaceutical sector, one of our key markets – will be a real asset to the company over the next few years.”
Austrian-owned Knapp group reported sales of some 196m euros last year. UK customers include Phoenix Healthcare, Sangers, United Drug, British Gas, Avon Cosmetics, Ocado, Lloyds Pharmacy and CooperVision.
