Luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin has signed a contract with Ceva Logistics to manage its full inbound supply chain, including manufacturing support.
Under the agreement, Ceva will manage a storage facility at Aston Martin’s Gaydon production plant, along with a dedicated 120,000 sq ft warehouse in Banbury. The contract will also include domestic, European and international transport.
In addition, Ceva will be responsible for sequencing, kitting and line feeding operations, incorporating just in time production line parts replacement.
Nick Cullen, managing director of Ceva Logistics UK and Ireland, said: “The contract has enabled Ceva to re-enter the UK’s automotive car assembly market, a sector in which Ceva holds a dominant position globally.”
