Henderson, which owns the Spar, Eurospar, Vivo and Vivoxtra franchises in Northern Ireland, has selected Aldata to automate store replenishment and manage inventory in real-time to boost store sales and reduce costs.
Henderson will initially be deploying the Aldata Gold system across its own stores, with the potential to extend the roll-out to its independents. By using automated store replenishment and mobile PDAs for real-time inventory management, Henderson expects customer service to improve as a result of better product availability along with less inventory in the supply chain.
Andrew Logan, IT director for Henderson, said: “This current investment enables us to further optimise our supply chain in Northern Ireland to assure on-shelf availability while driving down inventory costs. We selected Aldata due to their proven references in grocery, as well as Gold’s scalable nature, ease of use and centralised model, which delivers real-time visibility across the business.”
