Pat Roche, international marketing director of RedBerry Software, has been elected chairman of the United Kingdom Air Cargo Club. Marilyn Rix, regional cargo sales manager of United Airlines, has been elected vice chairman.
The club consists of more than 400 UK air cargo executives from the airline, forwarding and logistics, GSA, ground handling, trucking, equipment and technology sectors and has donated more than £150,000 to charitable causes.
Roche said: “In the current economic climate we are confident of growing our membership as the club provides a friendly and enjoyable opportunity to leave the stresses of work behind for a few hours whenever we get together.”
