Optima Products has completed a major overhaul of its IT systems with the implementation of Access Supply Chain, an ERP solution designed to bring greater control over manufacturing and business operations.
Optima Products, part of the Optima Group, has more than 15 years experience as a partitioning specialist and has installed projects for clients including EMI, American Express, Royal Bank of Scotland, David Beckham Academy, Deloittes and the BBC.
The company chose Access Supply Chain for its integration capabilities, depth of functionality and ease of navigation.
Nigel Westray, managing director for Optima Products, said: “The solution has provided increased control over our manufacturing operations, which will help us to improve delivery times to our customers.
“Our activities are spread over a five-acre site and tracking jobs with our previous solution was a time consuming process. Complex manufacturing operations meant projects would sometimes be held up due to stock shortages on key items. Now nothing can be made unless all constituent parts are available.”
The system has also helped Optima Products achieve improved disaster recovery and reduced hardware and power consumption, as well as streamlining existing support skills within the company.
