Shipping line Hapag-Lloyd is increasing rates for services from the Far East to Northern Europe and the western Mediterranean by $500 per TEU from 15th June.
The increase will be $150 per TEU in the opposite direction.
Rates for services between Asia and the eastern Mediterranean will be raised by $300 per TEU from 1st August.
It is also planning a peak season surcharge of $150 per TEU for the period 1st August to 31st October.
