IPP Logipal has opened a new pallet depot in Leicester in partnership with logistics company The Widdowson Group, following a number of business wins in the Midlands.
The site can handle up to three million pallets a year. Widdowson will provide on-site warehousing with IPP Logipal pooling pallets for the FMCG sector, as part of the long-term deal.
IPP Logipal’s pallets will be despatched by Widdowson to manufacturers throughout its European network.
Phil Storer, UK and Ireland director and European vice president at IPP Logipal, said: “Working with a well known logistics provider in The Widdowson Group allows us to have a centrally based presence in an area which is key to the UK manufacturing sector with many big name manufacturers based in the region.”
