Online freight exchange company Teleroute has launched Teleroute GO, a pay-as-you-go online freight management service, which provides small transport companies with unlimited access to more than 100,000 freight offers a day.
The online service has been designed to help hauliers pick up loads more easily and avoid empty running.
Teleroute GO includes a Search Agent feature, which informs users of freight offers instantly via alerts on the Freight Exchange or through SMS or fax. The Vehicle Posting option automatically turns freight search criteria into a description of an available vehicle to enable users to advertise vehicle space immediately to freight posters.
Also the SMS service enables users to forward detailed information to drivers instantly, through the freight exchange.
The Transport Route Planner, which can calculate time and journey distances and the Transport Company Directory will also be accessible via the service.
Raimundo Diaz, chief executive of Teleroute, said: “Many owner-drivers and small hauliers have seen a decrease in profits as long-term contracts are being cancelled and customers look to renegotiate, while their fixed costs still remain. We have launched Teleroute GO to help address these issues. It has been designed specifically to help the smaller operators find reliable business partners and suitable freight offers, at the best price.”
