Rotterdam World Gateway has appointed Frank Keizer as project director for the development and construction of the 156 hectare container terminal which upon completion will have a capacity of 4.2 million TEU.
The terminal will be sited on a new 2000 hectare Maasvlakte 2 port extension development which is under construction in the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
Rotterdam World Gateway construction is planned to start next year with the first container on the quay expected in Spring 2013. The total private investment by Rotterdam World Gateway will be about € 900 million.
Keizer is a former director of Dura Vermeer (one of the top 5 construction companies in the Netherlands). He has extensive experience with large airport and public infrastructure projects.
