Inditex, the parent company of clothing retailer Zara, has selected GT Nexus to provide a platform for tracking and managing its global ocean shipments.
The system is delivered on-demand via the internet and provides detailed container status and event information, document management and shipment transaction capabilities to help automate interactions between Inditex’s network of ocean carriers.
GT Nexus got the platform up and running in less than four weeks.
It will also enable Inditex to go paperless with logistics execution by fully automating freight transaction processes and related documentation. The initial phase will cover ocean freight, but ultimately will be expanded to air freight as well.
