Garmin, the manufacturer of in-car sat navs, handheld GPS units and GPS products for the marine aviation and outdoor sectors, has seen a boost its supply chain performance in France after appointing Geodis Calberson to handle its distribution.
Geodis Calberson provides part loads, groupage, and single and multiple parcel deliveries from the company’s distribution centre in Southampton to retail outlets in France.
In addition, Geodis Calberson has integrated labelling into Garmin IT to enable in-house domestic labelling for France, helping to reduce errors and enabling track and trace via its Espace software.
John Green, logistics manager at Garmin (Europe), said: “The European market is extremely important to us and we needed a partner who could support our business objectives in this marketplace.”
