Agility has opened a subsidiary in Romania, broadening its coverage in Eastern Europe.
The move follows the company’s expansion into Poland, Austria, Hungary and Slovenia in 2008.
The division will be headed by country manager Andreas Gager and will offer air, sea and road freight services as well as logistics solutions.
Friedrich Schupitta, managing director of Area South East Europe, said “As one of the latest entries into the European Union, with a population of over 22 million people, Romania has a size and capacity to be an important participant in the European economy. We also have a huge requirement of services in Romania from our Western European customers who have set up operations in Romania, and this platform will allow us to do so.”
