Logistic provider Acumen Distribution has launched AcuFreight, an online system designed to create a real-time exchange platform matching unallocated loads with empty vehicles travelling across the UK.
AcuFreight is designed to reduce costs for customers, help the environment by reducing empty vehicle running and create additional revenue for carriers by helping them utilise otherwise empty vehicles.
It enables customers to place available loads on the system and for hauliers to bid for the work, either against a target price set by the customer or in an open auction.
