Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Diederick de Vroet to its North West Europe Regional Management Board as director Seafreight, replacing Frank Hercksen, who transfers to K+N North America as senior vice president seafreight.
De Vroet has held seafreight management positions across central Europe and the Asia-Pacific region for the past 19 years. His most recent role was as director corporate seafreight, which involved the management of anew intra-Europe trade, European intermodal development, European customer management and direct contribution to the company’s global seafreight strategy.
Tim Scharwath, chief executive of K+N North West Europe said: “As director seafreight North West Europe, Diederick will continue to focus on the enhancement of service levels through high quality standards and innovation as well as new product development and sales in order to support our global initiative to grow market share.”
Kuehne + Nagel’s North West European organisation is headquartered in Uxbridge, in the UK, and spans around 150 locations in six countries including Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
