Spirit Data Capture, the mobile computing and data capture consultancy, has become a distributor of handheld ID readers from the Cognex Corporation.
Cognex has developed the Dataman range of high performance Direct Part Marking (DPM) scanners.
The Dataman readers incorporate Cognex’s ID code-reading technology and, says the company, can scan even poorly produced 2D barcodes accurately and reliably. The readers are designed for industrial use and are therefore very rugged – but they are also compact and ergonomic.
The Dataman family includes the 7500 Series and the new 700 Series. The Dataman 7500 Series readers can handle everything from normally printed barcodes through to the most challenging DPM marks.
