The Overseas Shippers Association has selected GT Nexus to provide an integrated global transport management platform, replacing several disconnected, stand-alone systems.
The web-based platform automates the entire freight spend life-cycle, beginning with the procurement of transport services, as well as rate management and shipment visibility.
OSA provides commercial services to a group of international household goods removal and relocation companies, including worldwide ocean freight contract negotiation.
The association manages container freight volumes of around 80,000 TEUs on behalf of 180 companies worldwide.
GT Nexus will provide in-transit visibility for OSA shipments by capturing real-time transport status data through existing electronic integrations with carrier systems, allowing OSA member companies to use the GT Nexus portal to check on the status of their containerised shipments and see related documents, across every carrier they use.
